Terms of service
These terms keep things fair for you and for us. They're written in plain language on purpose — if anything is unclear, just ask.
The deal
By creating an account or using GrowSomeFood you agree to these terms and to our privacy policy. If you post in the community, the community guidelines apply too. You must be at least 13 years old to use the service.
Free early access
GrowSomeFood is currently in free early access. Features may change, improve, or occasionally break while we build. If paid plans ever arrive, early growers will be told clearly and in advance — nothing you rely on will be pulled out from under you without notice.
Your account
Keep your password to yourself and use an email address you actually check — it's how we confirm your account and how you recover it. You're responsible for what happens under your account.
Your content
Your garden data, journal entries, and photos are yours. You give us permission to store and display them back to you — that's what makes the app work. Community tips you submit are shown publicly under the display name you choose, after review. You can delete your content, or your whole account, at any time.
Fair use
Don't abuse the service: no unlawful content, no uploading images you don't have the right to share, no attempts to break, scrape, overload, or reverse-engineer the app, and no using it to spam or harm others. We may suspend accounts that do.
Gardening guidance, honestly
Planting windows, frost dates, stage timelines, and care suggestions are careful estimates built from your growing zone — but nature doesn't read our database. Local conditions vary, and a late frost is nobody's fault. Our guidance is general information, not professional agronomic, nutritional, or medical advice.
Always positively identify anything before you eat it, and be especially careful with wild plants and any content about herbal or medicinal uses. We're not liable for crop losses, allergic reactions, or decisions made from the app's guidance.
Availability
The service is provided as-is, without warranties, and during early access we can't promise uninterrupted uptime or that data will never be lost — though we work hard and keep backups. To the maximum extent the law allows, our liability to you is limited to what you've paid us for the service (during free early access: nothing).
Leaving
You can stop using GrowSomeFood and delete your account at any time from Account settings → Delete data. We can suspend or close accounts that break these terms, and we'll say why unless the law prevents it.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, we'll announce it on the What's new page before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the update.
