Community guidelines
The growers community exists for one thing: helping each other grow food. These few rules keep it useful and kind.
Keep it about growing
Tips, questions, and experience about plants, soil, seasons, pests, harvests, and preserving what you grow. Anything else — politics, off-topic debates, promotions — belongs somewhere else.
Be kind to beginners
Everyone kills their first tomato plant. Share what worked for you without making anyone feel silly for asking. No insults, no pile-ons, no gatekeeping.
Share experience, not absolutes
"In my zone 7b clay soil, this worked" beats "you must always…". Gardens differ wildly. Be extra careful with advice about eating wild plants or medicinal uses — when in doubt, leave it out.
No spam or self-promotion
No ads, affiliate links, or storefronts. Mentioning a product that genuinely solved your problem is fine; being here to sell is not.
Everything is reviewed first
During early access, every post is read by a person before it appears — usually within a day. That's how a small community stays a good one. Posts that don't fit these guidelines simply don't go live.
